Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital is looking for a skilled MRI Technologist to perform MRI examinations on pediatric patients. You will be responsible for operating MRI equipment, preparing patients for procedures, monitoring their safety and comfort, and maintaining accurate records. This position requires a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and certifications in CPR and ARRT (MRI).

Working hours are Monday to Friday, with a $20,000 sign-on bonus offered. Candidates should have excellent communication skills and a minimum of two years of clinical experience in Radiologic Sciences.

Qualifications

  • Active Status with the Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • ARRT certification (MRI) within 18 months of employment.
  • Two years of clinical experience in the Radiologic Sciences.
  • One year of experience in MRI procedures preferred.
  • Experience in pediatric setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operates MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images.

  • Monitors patients during MRI scans for safety and comfort.
  • Maintains accurate patient records and labels/stores images.

Job Description Summary

Performs MRI examinations on pediatric patients, ensuring the production of quality diagnostic images.

Essential Functions
  • Operates MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images of patients' internal structures.
  • Prepares patients for MRI procedures by positioning them correctly and administering contrast media as required.
  • Monitors patients during MRI scans to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Maintains accurate patient records and ensures that all images are properly labeled and stored.
  • Maintains MRI equipment to ensure optimal image quality and patient safety.
  • Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret MRI images and provide accurate diagnoses.
Education Requirement

Graduate of an accredited educational program for Radiologic Technology, required.

Licensure Requirement
  • Active Status with the Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, required.
Certifications
  • Current CPR Certification, required.
  • ARRT certification (MRI) within 18 months of employment, required.

Must be able to see, hear, stand, walk, speak, read and perform manual tasks with or without accommodation, and care for oneself with little or no difficulty.

Must be able to move or reposition patients of any weight or size with the assistance of another person(s) and/or equipment.
