• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and the ability to apply them to care.
• Competency appropriate to ages and patient populations served.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders with Radiologist before performing exams.
• Identify patients with two identifiers and explain procedures.
• Review EMR history and requisitions for relevant data.
• Manage exam from start to final dictated results.
• Administer IV contrast according to protocol.
• Evaluate image quality and consult Radiologist as needed.
• Perform MRI scans and assist during invasive procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control.
• Follow radiation safety standards and report equipment issues.
• Operate radiology computer system and document contrast in MAR.
• Keep work area clean and stocked; assist anesthesia as needed.
