Job summary

University Hospitals seeks an MRI technologist to perform MR scans, provide patient care, and collaborate with radiology staff. The role requires ARRT MR pathway or equivalent credentials, BLS, and MRI safety knowledge. Orientation is provided; travel is minimal.

In addition to a competitive hourly rate, UH MR Imaging offers enhanced PTO for long-time staff, a sign-on bonus for full-time, tuition reimbursement after six months, career ladder progression, and free parking.

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the educational pathways listed.
• ARRT MRI pathway: degree plus MRI training (required).
• MRI/ARDMS/NMTCB pathway: primary MRI track and ARRT/MR eligibility.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• Experience in MR scanning preferred; knowledge of MRI safety essential.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI scans as directed by radiologist and may operate independently after orientation.
• Provides age-appropriate patient care and maintains safety in the MRI environment.
• Uses RIS/PACS/EMR systems and supports department operations.
• Maintains equipment, ensures a clean, safe environment, and assists with learning.
• Collaborates with staff to ensure timely, quality imaging and patient experience.
