Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist for a PRN role in our imaging department. Flexible hours required to meet department needs, with a focus on safety and high-quality diagnostic imaging.

The position requires setting up MRI exams, positioning patients, ensuring patient comfort and privacy, and coordinating with physicians to achieve precise results. ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification and BLS are required, with competitive hourly pay and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Requires Accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent
• ARMRIT or ARRT-MR certification required on hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and obtain consent for MRI procedures
• Position patient and select appropriate coils and sequences
• Monitor patient during scan and ensure safety and comfort
• Verify patient identity and study accuracy, and document findings in PACS/RIS
