Job summary

Live Well Homecare is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures while ensuring patient safety and data quality. The role emphasizes adherence to ALARA principles, accurate history documentation, and safe medication administration under licensed guidance.

The candidate should hold an MRI-related certification (ARRT/NMTCB/ARMRIT) and have training in Radiologic Technology; a bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification from ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or equivalent is required; new graduates must obtain certification prior to employment.
• Completion of a Radiologic Technology training program; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety, imaging procedures, and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, properly identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history securely.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and adhere to safety principles like ALARA.
• Administer medications via vascular access under licensed practitioner guidance and evaluate image quality.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, applying MRI safety protocols to minimize risks.
• Assist with MRI interventional procedures and select pulse sequences based on protocols.
• Participate in MRI safety investigations and ensure compliant and safe imaging practices.
