Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Florida is seeking an MRI Technologist II to perform MRI exams and procedures under the supervision of experienced radiology staff. You will apply scan protocols, manage equipment, and ensure patient safety across multiple locations.

The role requires on-site availability with potential on-call hours. Ideal candidates hold ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification, a High School diploma or GED, and at least two years of post-certification MRI experience, plus BLS.

Qualifications

• High School / GED Required
• ARRT (MR) OR ARMRIT Certification
• Two (2) years' experience in an MRI Technologist Role – post certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Required
• Preferred: Associate degree in MRI / Allied Health
• Three (3) years of previous MRI experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform all MRI exams and procedures following standard protocols and positioning guidelines.
• Demonstrate knowledge of radiology principles, MRI equipment, safety and image quality.
• Start IVs and administer contrast per department protocols.
• Adhere to MRI safety policies including magnet status and code blue.
• Gather documentation for patient records and consent forms.
