Job summary

Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center MRI Technologist I role located in Charlotte, NC involves operating MRI scanners and related equipment with high proficiency. You will verify orders, prepare patients, administer IV contrast, and support radiologists throughout imaging procedures.

The position requires ARRT radiologic/nuclear medicine credentials with MRI registry eligibility and CPR certification, with the expectation to obtain MRI registry within one year.

Qualifications

• ARRT radiologic or nuclear medicine certification with MRI registry eligibility.
• MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners and related equipment per departmental protocols.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and explain procedures.
• Review patient history and correlate results with radiologist.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast per protocols.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of MRI suite.
• Assist in invasive procedures with MRI support.
