Job summary

HSHS St. Mary’s Decatur Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our Imaging team. The ideal candidate will position patients, operate MRI equipment, and produce high-quality images for interpretation while delivering exceptional patient care.

• Operate MRI equipment and ensure safety and image quality for interpretation.

Pay Range: $32.58 - $48.87 A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education. HSHS St. Mary's Decatur Hospital is seeking a MRI Technologist to join our Imaging team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care while following physician orders, accurately positioning patients, preparing and operating MRI equipment, and ensuring quality images are obtained for interpretation. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates at the MRI Technologist I and MRI Technologist II levels will be considered. Placement and compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and meeting position requirements.

Education Qualifications

Associates degree in allied health, applied/radiologic science or certificate program is required.

Experience Qualifications

1 year of Radiology Technology experience preferred.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

One of the following is required: Certification or registry eligible as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) or a Registered Technologist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (R.T.(MR)) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Certification or registry eligible as a Registered Technologist by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT). Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer. If certified through ARRT, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) certification/registry is preferred.

Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
