Job summary

Pelham Medical Center in Greer, South Carolina seeks an MRI Technologist to operate high-field magnets and produce high-quality MR images. The role entails patient positioning, safety screening, and collaboration with radiologists to support interventional MR procedures.

Responsibilities include image evaluation, documentation, and ensuring proper charging of procedures. Prior ARRT MR certification and BLS are required, with flexibility for varied shifts and PRN coverage.

Qualifications

• Completion of MR education or extensive MRI experience as stated.
• ARRT MRI registries or equivalent certifications referenced in requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex tasks with high field strength MRI magnets and related equipment.
• Position patients for MR scans using immobilization and safety protocols.
• Evaluate MR scans for technical quality and label/transfer to PACS.
• Screen patients for MR safety and maintain safety zones.
• Assist with imaging procedures, IVs, contrast administration when applicable.
• Assist radiologist with interventional MR procedures.
• Ensure correct charging of procedures and supplies daily.
• Train new staff and students during clinical rotations.
• Follow hospital/dept policies and communicate professionally.
• Cover additional shifts as required to meet departmental needs.
