Job summary

Job description

Responsibilities

Performs MRI studies following set protocol established by the Radiologists. Operates the MRI scanner to produce images of consistent optimal quality. Prepares scan room and equipment as appropriate. Positions patient, coils and equipment as required. Maintains communication with the patient throughout the scanning procedure.

Required Certifications

• American Registry of Radiologists (ARRT) MR certification required within 2 years from date of hire.
• Reg Technologist (R) required.

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Non Degree Program from an approved AMA Radiologic Technology program or MRI certificate program.

Experience

• 1 year experience as a Radiology Technologist.
• 1 year experience as an MRI Technologist (preferred).

Licenses / Certifications

• Reg Technologist (R) (MR) – Preferred.
• Basic Life Support – Preferred.
