  • Two-year CAHEA/AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current ARRT registration and active certification.
  • Minimum two years experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification current.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI procedures per established protocols and radiologist guidance.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images across anatomical planes.
  • Ensure MRI safety standards and regulatory compliance.

This role is ideal for imaging professionals who are committed to delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging while providing exceptional, patient-centered care within a collaborative healthcare environment.The MRI Technologist performs complex MRI procedures in accordance with established imaging protocols and safety standards, producing high-quality diagnostic images that support accurate clinical interpretation. In collaboration with radiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams, the technologist ensures imaging services are delivered efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and comfort.In this role, the MRI Technologist provides imaging services to a diverse patient population and must demonstrate strong technical expertise, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to adapt imaging protocols to meet varying patient and physician needs. The technologist also plays an important role in supporting departmental operations, maintaining imaging equipment standards, and ensuring efficient patient flow throughout the imaging process.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform MRI procedures in accordance with established imaging protocols and radiologist directionProduce high-quality diagnostic images across multiple anatomical planesProvide imaging services for a diverse patient population across multiple age groupsEnsure strict adherence to MRI safety standards and regulatory guidelinesMonitor and support patient safety, comfort, and care throughout imaging proceduresCollaborate with radiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support diagnostic accuracy and coordinated careMaintain MRI equipment functionality and comply with departmental quality and safety standardsSupport efficient patient flow and departmental operationsRequired QualificationsSuccessful completion of a two-year Radiologic Technology program approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) of the American Medical Association (AMA)Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Radiologic TechnologistDemonstrated knowledge of scientific principles and technical applications related to Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationEqual Opportunity EmployerGrady Health System is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer .
