Memorial Hermann is seeking an MRI Technologist to join the team at the MMU of the Spring CCC location. The role performs MRI procedures, ensures patient comfort and safety, and delivers high-quality imaging to support diagnosis.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of MRI experience and hold ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification with BLS. The position requires teamwork, equipment QA, and adherence to Memorial Hermann policies while providing compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• BLS certification required; ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification.
• 1 year MRI experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs MRI procedures, prepares patients for MRI exam, explains procedure, positions patients for the MRI scanner, and ensures scan quality.
• Enters and monitors patient data; performs quality assurance on MRI equipment; may assist with accreditation processes.
• Identifies and reports accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management; participates in safety and compliance.

Job Summary

Ideal candidate will provide care on the MMU at the Spring CCC location.

1 year MRI experience preferred.

Shift: 3 (12xs) per week; Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday

Hours: 7am-7pm

This position performs Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures to create three-dimensional images of tissue, organs and other body parts that are used by radiologists to detect abnormalities, make diagnoses and treat patients.

Job Description

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.

Licenses/Certifications

• Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, required.
• One (1)of the following required.
• Registered MRI Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-MR); or
• Registered MRI Technologist by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).

Experience / Knowledge / Skills

• Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others in order to perform job functions.

Principal Accountabilities

• Performs MRI procedures on patients: prepares patients for MRI exam, explains procedure, administers contrast when necessary, positions patients for the MRI scanner, selects appropriate imaging techniques, and ensures technical quality of the scan.
• Enters and monitors patient data.
• Performs quality assurance on magnetic resonance equipment and matrix camera. May assist with initial and renewal application for ACR and other accreditation.
• Identifies and reports any accidents, complaints or equipment malfunction to department management.
• Takes emergency call within the department.
• Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
• Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.
