Job summary

Twin Cities Orthopedics is seeking a part-time MRI Technologist Float to support Edina, Eden Prairie and Burnsville locations. You will perform MRI procedures, prepare patients, and manage patient files while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications include ARRT or ARMRIT certification and 1 year MRI experience. A sign-on bonus applies for select roles, with comprehensive benefits available to full-time equivalents.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT or ARMRIT approved program.
• ARRT Certification Magnetic Resonance, ARMRIT Certified, or a minimum of 1 year of full time experience in an MRI department required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures in proximity to a superconducting magnet for physicians’ diagnoses.
• Inform and prepare patients for procedures including researching implanted devices.
• Maintain patient files, including internal and external films.
• Prepare, clean and stock work area with supplies.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair.
• Maintain precautions for RF exposure.
• May include IV contrast administration as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

MRI Technologist Float - Twin Cities Orthopedics

The MRI Technologist will perform quality MRI images per physician’s orders while providing excellent service to patients.

Part-time (0.8 FTE) Float MRI Technologist to mainly cover our Edina and Eden Prairie locations. Could also work our Burnsville location as well. Mainly days and some evening shifts, hours typically range from 5:30 AM - 1:30 PM, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 12:30 PM - 8:30 PM. Availability to cover 1 weekend a month. We offer a fun, flexible work environment with room to grow and work up to a 1.0 Full-time status. Brand new United Scanners offer amazing image quality along with faster scans.

Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform MRI procedures in close proximity to super conducting magnet on designated portions of the body for physicians’ use in diagnosing and treating illness or injury
• Inform and prepare patients for procedures including researching implanted devices
• Maintain patient files, including internal and external films
• Prepare, clean and stock work area with supplies
• Coordinates equipment maintenance and repair
• Maintains the necessary precautions for excessive radiofrequency exposure
• May include IV contrast administration as needed
• Any and all other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an ARRT or ARMRIT approved program
• ARRT Certification Magnetic Resonance, ARMRIT Certified, or a minimum of 1 year of full time experience in an MRI department required.

Benefits & Compensation:

• Actual starting pay will vary based on education, skills, and experience.

The pay range displayed reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated for employees working less than a full-time schedule.

• A $4,000 sign-on bonus will be offered for select roles, payable on first paycheck with a 12-month commitment. Internal applicants are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.

Working Conditions:

• Ability to work independently at least 90% of the time.
• Frequentlylift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Frequentlypush/pull patients up to 50 pounds, or patients in wheelchairs weighing up to 300 pounds.
• Frequentlystand, walk, bend, and move continuously throughout the shift.
• Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents.
• Auditory ability to participate in phone or video calls clearly.
• Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, printer).
