Job summary

Lee Health in Fort Myers is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform advanced MRI procedures in outpatient centers or hospital settings, using the latest imaging technology and a collaborative imaging team.

You will ensure patient comfort and safety, troubleshoot scanners, contribute to workflow efficiency, and may participate in orientation and performance improvement efforts; lead roles are available in Lead Technologist openings.

Qualifications

• Graduation of a JRCERT Accredited or ARRT approved Radiography or MRI degree program.
• Florida Radiologic Technologist License for radiology techs only; MRI degree for non-radiology techs.
• BLS (American Heart Association) Basic Life Support required.
• ARRT registered or eligible required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans, operate MRI scanner/injector systems, and produce diagnostic-quality MR images.
• Maintain and troubleshoot MR scanner software and equipment.
• Apply knowledge of MR anatomy, pathology and physiology to support image quality.
• Provide compassionate patient care: ensure comfort, safety, efficient workflow.
• Participate in performance improvement efforts, student/staff orientation.
• Occasionally perform venipuncture and non-narcotic medication transport as needed.
