Job summary

Akumin Inc. in Raleigh, NC is hiring a full-time MRI Technologist to ensure patient safety and perform high-quality CT studies at our Raleigh facility. The role focuses on effective communication with radiologists and customers, and may include training new technologists and patient coordinators.

Responsibilities include pre-screening for contraindications, overseeing contrast administration, and troubleshooting scanners and peripherals. A strong emphasis on safety and teamwork is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• ARRT Registered CT technologist (or NMTCB CT in lieu of ARRT).
• State license and CPR certification.
• Active State Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Ensures patient safety and performs high quality CT studies.
• Pre-screens for contraindications to radiation and contrast injections.
• Communicates effectively with radiologists and customers.
• Trains new technologists and patient coordinators.
• Troubleshoots the scanner and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS).
