Job summary

Akumin is hiring an MRI Technologist at its Chicopee, MA facility for a full-time position. The MRI technologist will ensure patient comfort and safety, produce high-quality diagnostic images, and train new staff.

Requires ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS registry, state license, CPR, and a high school diploma; an associate degree is preferred. Benefits include medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA with employer contributions, 401(k) with match, paid holidays, and PTO/sick time.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience.
• Registered Technologists by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS.
• State License, as required.
• Technologists performing mid-day moves.
• CPR certification.
• Active state driver’s license.
• Preferred: Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience.
• Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique, etc.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Orders supplies, cleans unit, assist in preparing for transport on a daily basis.
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
• Trains new technologist and/or PC's.
