Job summary

Akumin is hiring an MRI Technologist at our Brookfield, CT facility for a full-time role. The position emphasizes patient safety, high-quality MR imaging, and clear communication with radiologists and the team.

Responsibilities include training staff on site or remotely, ensuring patient safety, and producing diagnostic images across MR systems. ARRT/MR certification and CPR are required where applicable. Some local travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT as allowable by contract.
• State license, if applicable.
• CPR Certification.
• Local travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Patient Safety and pre-screening for contraindications.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images; operation of multiple MR systems may be required.
• Communicates with radiologists, patients and customers clearly.
• Trains and orients new technologists and staff on site and remote when required.
• Other duties as assigned.
