Job summary

EmergeOrtho is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures across multiple NC locations, aiding in diagnosis and patient care. You will operate MRI equipment, position patients, and collaborate with radiologists to ensure high-quality images.

The role welcomes experienced technologists and those expanding their imaging expertise, with emphasis on safety, patient comfort, and accurate imaging in a leading orthopedic practice.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• AA/AS or BA/BS preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited MRI technologist training program.
• Minimum of one year of MRI experience.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• ARRT registration preferred.
• State licensure/certification as required by North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and positions patients for MRI procedures.
• Assists physician during contrast administration and monitors for reactions.
• Determines imaging factors based on scan type and patient.
• Explains procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and ensures cooperation.
• Conducts examinations considering patient age and medical condition.
• Screen patients and visitors for contraindications prior to MRI.
• Prepares exams for radiologist interpretation with proper history and prior studies.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Manager and may travel to office locations.
