Job summary

Cardinal Points Imaging of the Carolinas in Raleigh, NC seeks an MRI Technologist to perform routine to complex MRI procedures and produce high-quality images for interpretation. You will deliver safe patient care under the Radiology Medical Director and work with the imaging team to ensure a positive patient experience.

The role offers part-time flex scheduling (20-30 hours/week) with evening/weekend differential, no on-call, and a friendly outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Up to 2 years' experience as an MRI Technologist preferred.
• Associate's degree in Radiology or graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiography with MR advanced registration by 12 months.
• State licensure required; BLS within 60 days.

Position Status: Part-Time Flex
Schedule: Days and times vary, working 20-30 hours per week
Locations: Clayton, Raleigh, and Wake Forest

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Radiology Medical Director, the MRI Technologist will:

• Perform routine to complex MRI procedures and produce quality images for interpretation by a licensed provider.
• Provide safe, high-quality patient care while following established guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with the imaging center team to provide a positive experience for our patients.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

• Up to 2 years' experience as an MRI Technologist preferred.

EDUCATION:

• Must have a minimum associate's degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current valid registration from ARRT. Must also hold a MR advanced registration through ARRT or must obtain it within their first 12 months of employment. Additionally, must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice. BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of routine to complex MRI procedures and protocols.
• Skill in operation of MRI equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment.
• Ability to work independently and multitask.
• Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
• Demonstrates understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
