Job summary

Mercy Health Youngstown Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate MRI modalities daily under radiologist supervision. You will ensure protocol adherence, patient safety, and accurate data recording.

The ideal candidate has ARRT Diagnostic Radiology with Advanced MRI or completion within one year, plus 1 year MRI experience preferred, and the role offers a $25,000 sign-on bonus and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of workflows, procedures, operation and processes of MRI imaging.
• ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology with Advanced MRI registry (required or within one year of hire).
• 1 year of MRI hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI modality daily according to established protocols.
• Applies MRI safety principles to minimize risk to patient and staff.
• Confirms quality and accuracy of patient and procedural data.
• Selects MRI pulse sequences and scan parameters per protocol.
• Trains and assists in supervising MRI students and new staff.
• Provides direct patient care and instructions before, during, and after MRI procedures.
• Performs IV injections and administers magnetic contrast as required.
• Troubleshoots equipment and reports malfunctions to radiology maintenance.
