Job summary

RAYUS Radiology in Burnsville, MN is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate MRI scanners and produce diagnostic images. You will work with patients, explain procedures, position them correctly, and perform routine and advanced MRI scans with minimal supervision.

The role emphasizes safety, accurate record-keeping in the RIS, and keeping equipment clean and calibrated. This casual/PRN position offers a flexible schedule and opportunities to contribute to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiography.
• ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need.
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently.
• Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

• Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions, using two patient identifiers.
• Explain and prepare patients for MRI procedures, positioning for optimal scanning.
• Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures with minimal supervision.
• Adjust MRI scan parameters as needed and follow physicians' orders precisely.
• Maintain RIS records and ensure safety and cleanliness of the work area.
