Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Evanston is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our imaging team. You will produce diagnostic MRI images, ensure patient safety, and follow approved protocols to support high-quality care.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety standards, accurate documentation in EPIC and Visage, and timely exam coordination to support efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• ARRT MRI or ARMRIT certification within 12 months of hire or 10+ years directly relevant experience in lieu of certification.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accountability for patient safety throughout the MRI process, including screening, preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care.
• Produces diagnostic-quality MRI images using approved protocols and professional standards.
• Applies professional judgment within approved protocols to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges.
• Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action when diagnostic adequacy is not met.
• Administers contrast in accordance with policy, including screening, IV access when required, monitoring, and response to adverse events.
• Operates imaging equipment and maintains imaging room readiness.
• Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in EPIC and Visage, including exam setup, image routing, result availability, and charging accuracy.
