Shields Health Care Group offers this MA-based MRI technologist role requiring MRI scanning experience and ARRT/CPR certifications (ARMRIT accepted at some locations).

Qualifications

• MRI scanning experience required.
• MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications required; ARMRIT accepted at some locations.
• Sit and utilize a computer for extended periods.
• Assist patients with mobility difficulties.
• Some inpatient locations may require call rotation.
• Push/pull and lift minimum of 25 pounds.
• Physical requirements may be met with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Follow all policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety.
• Inform the patient of exam details to their level of understanding.
• Ensure patient is cleared of contraindications and hazards.
• Position patient accurately and ensure comfort.
• Maintain visual and verbal contact with patient during exam.
• Perform scan per center protocol.
• Administer intravenous contrast.
• Complete forms for patient’s exam.
• Record data in Tech Data Entry system.
• Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.
• Forward data/films to Radiologist upon completion.
• Assist clerical staff as needed.
• Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms.
