Job summary

Shields Health Care Group is seeking an MRI Technologist to support a high-quality diagnostic imaging environment. The role involves patient education, accurate positioning, and safe administration of contrast, with data entry and collaboration with radiologists.

Ideal candidates have MRI scanning experience and ARRT/CPR credentials; ARMRIT accepted at some locations. The position may involve call rotations and physical tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• MRI scanning experience is required.
• ARRT/MRI certification and CPR certification are required; ARMRIT accepted at some locations.
• Strong interpersonal and patient-care skills.
• Able to sit/stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follow all policies to ensure patient safety.
• Inform patients about exam details.
• Position patients for comfort and accuracy.
• Administer intravenous contrast as needed.
• Record data in the Tech Data Entry system.
• Provide and issue films/CDs when appropriate.
• Forward data to Radiologist after exam.
• Assist clerical staff as needed.
