Shields Health Care Group is seeking an MRI Technologist to support a fast-paced diagnostic imaging environment. The role emphasizes patient safety, clear communication, and adherence to center protocols in Massachusetts locations.

Responsibilities include positioning patients, administering contrast, generating films, and coordinating with radiologists. ARMRIT acceptance may apply at some sites; pay ranges from $40 to $60 per hour with benefits.

Qualifications

• MRI scanning experience required.
• Must hold MRI/ARRT certification and CPR.
• ARMRIT certification accepted at some locations.
• Strong interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Follow all policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety.
• Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
• Ensure patient is cleared of contraindications and hazards.
• Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.
• Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
• Perform scan in accordance to center’s protocol.
• Administer intravenous contrast.
• Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam.
• Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.
• Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.
• Forward data and/or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.
• Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.
• Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.
• Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.
