Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI procedures, ensure patient safety, proper positioning, and high-quality imaging. You will independently conduct or assist with MRI procedures within a clinical setting, supporting safety and data integrity.

The role emphasizes adherence to protocols, ongoing professional development, and collaboration with medical staff to optimize patient care and learning opportunities for students and providers.

Qualifications

• Certifications such as ARRT, NMTCB, or ARMRIT are required upon hire, with continued professional development for advancement.
• Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Knowledge of MRI safety, imaging protocols, and patient care is essential.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct patient identification, ensure proper preparation, and document clinical history confidentially.
• Apply appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and adhere to ALARA principles to minimize risk.
• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, monitor patient responses, and verify image quality and data transfer.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and assist with MRI interventional procedures.
• Apply MRI safety principles, participate in safety investigations, and select suitable pulse sequences based on protocols.
