Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our radiology team. This role performs routine MRI exams, supports patients of all ages, and contributes to a welcoming patient experience.

You will work evenings with call and have access to advanced MRI technology in a trusted academic‑level health system. The ideal candidate is ARRT‑certified in MRI or eligible, with BLS and strong knowledge of anatomy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or ARRT pathway.
• Registered MRI Technologist (R.T.(MR)) or equivalent in good standing.
• MRI certification required within one year of hire.
• BLS certification from AHA/Red Cross.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and review patient data to determine MRI contraindications.
• Perform MRI procedures per protocol and daily QA.
• Educate patients regarding MRI procedures and exams.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after exams.
• Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate service as needed.
• Maintain high equipment uptime for patient access.
• Process billing via RIS and mentor new hires.
