Job summary

VCU Health in Richmond, VA is seeking an MRI Technologist I–III to perform MRI procedures, administer contrast safely, assess allergy risk, review lab values, and communicate clearly with patients and families. You will follow imaging protocols, document deviations, and ensure patient safety throughout the exam.

ARRT, NMTCB, or ARMRIT certification within 90 days, plus BLS for Healthcare Providers, are required.

Qualifications

• ARRT/NMTCB/ARMRIT certification within the first 90 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures utilizing scanners and injections per protocol.
• Safely administer contrast and assess allergy risk prior to use.
• Interpret and communicate with patients using age-appropriate language.
• Document deviations and ensure timely post-processing, display, and transfer.
