Job summary

Brown University Health seeks an MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment, prepare the procedure room, and deliver high-quality diagnostic images at Morton Hospital in Taunton, MA. You will collect patient information, explain procedures, and maintain safety along with the imaging team.

The role requires BLS, ARRT MR(R) registration (or within 12 months), MRI training/experience, and strong patient communication. Radiography registration is preferred; evening shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification is required.
• ARRT MR RT(MR) registration must be held or obtained within 12 months of transfer.
• Documented MRI training/experience is preferred.
• Radiography RT(R) registration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI equipment and ensures high-quality diagnostic images.
• Collects patient information and reviews records to plan the procedure.
• Explains the procedure to patients and answers questions.
• Maintains aseptic technique and patient safety throughout the procedure.
• Monitors patient, addresses adverse reactions, and communicates progress to the care team.
• Completes PACS tasks, reviews images, and documents charges accurately.
