Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment, position patients, select protocols, and ensure quality imaging across all age groups. You will follow established imaging standards under supervision, provide patient education, and maintain competency in related tasks.

The role emphasizes accurate protocol execution, quality control per ACR guidelines, and delivering age-appropriate care and communication to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• No experience required; 6 months as MRI Technologist preferred.
• Licenses: ARDMS or ARRT in Radiography; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence in performing all MRI procedures on patients of all age groups.
• Positions patient, selects the correct protocol and utilizes imaging equipment.
• Maintains competencies in non-scanner components and follows imaging protocols.
• Performs quality control procedures per ACR guidelines.
• Provides age-specific patient care and patient education.
• Capable of positioning and scanning patients of all ages for radiological exams on request.
