Job summary

AdventHealth in Kissimmee, FL is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI examinations. The role requires knowledge of MRI procedures, safety practices, and patient education to ensure accurate imaging and patient comfort. PRN per diem scheduling supports varying shifts and weekend coverage.

The position emphasizes keeping exam rooms prepared, coordinating with staff, and following all safety and regulatory guidelines while delivering excellent patient service.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• Associate [Preferred]
• 1+ years experience in radiology and completion of MRI training program [Preferred]

Responsibilities

• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
• Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.
• Educates patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions, promoting comfort and cooperation throughout the exam.
• Positions patients accurately and comfortably using appropriate immobilization and coil placement techniques to ensure high-quality imaging.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions.
• Performs and documents daily system quality control (QC) checks in compliance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements.
