Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is hiring an MRI Technologist to perform MR imaging with a focus on patient safety and comfort at the Liberty facility. The role involves preparing patients, obtaining IV access, selecting sequences per protocol, and ensuring accurate patient identification while maintaining MR safety standards.

Ideal candidates will hold AMA-approved radiologic technology or MR imaging credentials, with ARRT/ARRT-like certification and BLS; high school diploma is preferred

Qualifications

• Radiologic Technology degree from AMA approved program or MR Imaging program.
• High School diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce quality MR images with attention to patient safety.
• Prepare patients and support during examinations.
• Perform venipuncture and manage IV access as prescribed.
• Select pulse sequences per protocols to optimize data.
• Evaluate images for quality and correct patient identification.
• Adhere to MR safety guidelines and screening procedures.
• Monitor for emergency situations and respond appropriately.
• Educate and supervise students and other staff as assigned.
• Other duties may be assigned as required.
