Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an MRI Technologist to provide imaging services for patients at the Feinberg Pavilion and support inpatient care operations. The role is a full-time day shift, 40 hours per week, with on-call rotation and weekend coverage as described in the schedule.

Responsibilities include maintaining patient safety, acquiring diagnostic MRI images, administering contrast per policy, and ensuring accurate documentation in EPIC/Visage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• ARRT Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) OR ARMRIT certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient safety throughout the imaging process including screening and post-procedure care.
• Produces diagnostic-quality MRI images using approved protocols and standards.
• Applies professional judgment to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges.
• Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action if needed.
• Administers contrast per policy with screening for contraindications and patient monitoring.
• Operates MRI equipment and maintains imaging room readiness.
• Documents exam setup, image routing, results, and charging accuracy in the medical record systems.
