Job summary

Munson Healthcare in northern Michigan is seeking an MRI Technologist to join a team that values exceptional patient care. You will perform MRI scans independently, ensure patient safety, and deliver high-quality diagnostic images that guide treatment plans.

Preferred candidates have ARRT MRI certification or eligibility, at least two years of MRI experience, and current BLS. A sign-on bonus is offered, with potential housing assistance, and the position is on-site in Traverse City, MI.

Qualifications

• ARRT MRI certification or eligibility must be obtained; licensure/registration as required.
• Two years’ experience in MRI preferred.
• BLS certification required; renewal every two years.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans independently using imaging and ancillary equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Position and prepare patients, ensuring comfort, safety and compassionate care during the scanning process.
• Evaluate images for technical accuracy and diagnostic quality; adjust techniques as needed per radiologist guidance.
• Administer IV contrast and oral medications safely, following MRI safety protocols.
• Assist with QA activities, manage supplies, and help train students and visitors.
