Job summary

The role requires strong communication skills, aRadiologic Technology degree, and ARRT MR certification or eligibility, with BLS and state licensure as applicable. 1–2 years MRI experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist or MRI program.
• Current ARRT (MR) certification or eligibility; ARRT (R) preferred.
• Active state licensure (if applicable).
• BLS certification required.
• MRI safety standards knowledge and protocols.
• Minimum 1–2 years MRI experience preferred; new grads considered with strong clinical training.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images for radiologists.
• Verify patient identification, review exam requisitions, and confirm imaging protocols.
• Prepare and position patients for MRI exams, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Administer contrast agents per physician orders and protocols.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions during scans.
• Maintain records in the PACS/RIS system.
• Follow MRI safety policies and screen for contraindications.
• Inspect equipment and report technical issues promptly.
• Collaborate with radiologists and technologists to ensure timely results.
• Participate in continuing education to stay current on imaging advancements.
