Sentara Health is seeking an MRI Technologist for weekend days at the Norfolk, VA campus. The role involves performing MRI scans, administering contrast per protocol, and ensuring patient safety screening accuracy under physician supervision.

Qualifying candidates will have ALD Radiologic Sciences or equivalent certification and ARRT MR certification, with about 1 year of radiography cross-training experience. A comprehensive benefits package is provided.

• ALD Radiologic Sciences or trade school certification recognized for MR imaging.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality MRI imaging under supervision.
• Administer MRI contrast per protocol.
• Evaluate patient MRI safety screening prior to entering scanner.
• Review patient records for accuracy and implants/devices.
• Explain procedures to patients and obtain consent.
• Complete departmental documentation and reporting.
