Job Summary

The MRI Technologist I performs procedures following departmental protocols, operating MRI scanners and related equipment proficiently, including post-processing stations, IV contrast injectors, and patient monitoring devices.

Essential Functions

• Verify patient requests and orders; consult radiologists when necessary.
• Identify patients using two identifiers, prepare and explain procedures, and document accordingly.
• Obtain comprehensive medical histories and review relevant clinical data.
• Manage exams from start to finish, including contrast administration and image evaluation.
• Assist with invasive procedures and practice sterile techniques.
• Follow radiation safety standards and report equipment issues.
• Operate radiology computer systems, maintain work areas, and support other medical personnel.

Physical Requirements

Moderate to heavy physical effort, including lifting, standing, walking, and potential exposure to various physical conditions. Adherence to radiation safety guidelines is essential.

Qualifications
