Job Summary
The MRI Technologist I performs procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards. Operates MRI Scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency.
Essential Functions
Physical Requirements
Requires moderate to heavy physical efforts in lifting and moving patients, equipment, and supplies. Occasional standing, walking, and sitting during normal operation. Frequently may be required to stretch, bend, twist, squat or kneel in the daily operation of the MRI department.
Education, Experience and Certifications
Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA approved program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology or active enrollment in an ARMRIT or ARRT registry eligible program required. ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology, ARRT or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine with advanced registry from the ARMRIT or ARRT in MRI required within one year of hire. Current CPR certification required.
