Job summary

Johns Hopkins Intrastaff seeks an MRI Technologist to operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment and perform high-quality diagnostic examinations at Johns Hopkins Imaging, Bethesda, MD. The role emphasizes patient safety, accurate documentation, and coordination with radiologists to support timely diagnoses.

On-site weekend shifts are required, with opportunities to work alongside renowned physicians and technologists in a leading academic healthcare system.

Qualifications

• Completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program or equivalent accredited educational program.
• Minimum of three (3) years of MRI experience.
• Experience operating GE MRI equipment.
• Knowledge of MRI safety standards and patient screening requirements.
• Ability to perform weekend shifts as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality diagnostic MRI images meeting radiologist requirements.
• Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate imaging documentation within RIS and PACS.
• Perform diagnostic MRI examinations of organs and vascular structures.
• Collaborate with radiologists to provide images for interpretation.
• Educate staff and students on MRI procedures and safety practices.
