Job summary

ChristianaCare Health System is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our diagnostic team. You will perform MRI procedures, ensure safety and quality control, and document study data in our care systems.

The role requires ARRT Registered Technologist status, MRI certification within 2 years, and Cerner training, with flexibility to work at multiple sites. The position demands strong customer service, attention to safety, and independent work habits, with hours and locations varying by need.

Qualifications

• MR Technologist-experience required.
• ARRT Registered Technologist required.
• ARRT Advanced MRI Certification required within 2 years of hire.
• Cerner training required.
• Excellent customer service/telephone skills required.
• Flexibility in hours is required.
• Flexibility to work at alternate locations as needed.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates complete knowledge and proficiency in MRI units, radiology systems and CD burners.
• Performs MRI procedures and quality control per departmental protocols.
• Performs MRI safety screenings for patients and implanted devices prior to scanning.
• Makes sure to comply with local, state, and federal regulations including ACR and Joint Commission.
• Completes all technical imaging and non-imaging procedures within scheduled times.
• Enters accurate patient study information into clinical care systems.
• Assist with workflow coordination and patient care activities.
• Obtains clinical history and appropriate consent for examinations.
• Verifies insurance pre-authorization prior to scanning.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and uses two identifiers at all times.
• Demonstrates IV access and monitors patient status for adverse reactions.
• Shows proficiency with contrast media injectors and related safety.
• Performs i-STAT testing and calculates GFR following policy.
