Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a program approved by the credentialing body for the required associated license(s).
• ARRT-MR - Radiologic Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT) -- For no experience OR
• ARMRIT - Registered Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist -- For no experience OR
• CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist - State Licensure -- For no experience AND
• ARRT-R - Radiologic Technologist - Radiographer (ARRT) - For 6 months of supervised MRI clinical scanning experience OR
• ARRT-N - Radiologic Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Tech (ARRT) - For 6 months of supervised MRI clinical scanning experience OR
• ARRT-SON - Radiologic Technologist - Sonography (ARRT) - For 6 months of supervised MRI clinical scanning experience OR
• RDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) - For 6 months of supervised MRI clinical scanning experience. RDMS certified as an Ultrasound Technologist OR
• CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) - For 6 months of supervised MRI clinical scanning experience

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic MRI exams according to policies, procedures and protocols of the KSC radiology department.
• Participates in Technical Quality Control measures and routine equipment maintenance.
• Uses RIS system properly and documents atypical conditions for radiologist review.
• Demonstrates MRI safety measures and uses imaging coils appropriate for patient.
• Participates in training programs and maintains licenses and continuing education.
• Interacts effectively with patients and coworkers and aligns communications with Mission, Vision and Values
