Southern Illinois Healthcare's Memorial Hospital of Carbondale is seeking a full-time MRI Technologist to provide high-quality MRI imaging services. You will work closely with radiologists and staff to ensure accurate exams and patient comfort.

The ideal candidate holds an associate degree in Radiology, ARRT MRT MR certification within 1 year of hire, and at least 1 year of MRI experience with CT lead exposure. BLS is required, and applicants must be willing to participate in ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiology.
• ARRT RT(R)(MR) MRI certification within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification required.
• At least 1 year MRI technical experience.
• CT imaging experience preferred for lead role.

Responsabilités

• Prepares and explains exams to patients.
• Maintains expertise in anatomy, physiology and pathology related to imaging.
• Performs MRI procedures per patient status, requests and protocols.
• Ensures MRI safety precautions for patients, families and staff.
• Processes exams and uploads to PACS.
• Educates patients about MRI procedures and contrast media.
