Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks an MRI Technologist to perform MRI exams per protocol on a variety of body parts. The role includes pre-exam screening, patient greeting and gown assistance, history intake, and exam documentation.

You will verify orders, initiate exams, manage IVs, and safely administer contrast media with a power injector. Responsibilities also include transporting patients, coordinating with ER and imaging teams, prioritizing workflows, and

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiography program is required.
• RT and MR certification from ARRT is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of Radiology Tech experience and 2 years MRI experience is preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date.
• MRI certification within 60 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams per protocol on various body parts efficiently.
• Complete pre-exam screening, greet patients, assist with gowns, complete history forms, and prepare exam sheets.
• Verify doctor orders, chart initial after exam, manage IVs, and safely administer contrast media.
• Transport patients between ER and imaging areas, organize exams for workflow, and communicate with physicians, staff, patients, and families.
