UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA is seeking a full-time MRI Technologist to join our Imaging Services team. You will perform MRI procedures, maintain safety and quality standards, and contribute to patient care with independent judgment.

We welcome both experienced MRI professionals and graduates of accredited Radiologic Technology programs who are eager to learn; sign-on bonus available with commitment and ongoing training to advance your career.

Qualifications

• Graduates of accredited Radiologic Technology programs welcomed.
• Willingness to train and advance in MRI.
• Maintains clinical competencies in imaging procedures.

Responsabilités

• Maintains clinical competencies for all exams and equipment.
• Identifies all patients properly by using two patient identifiers and utilizes universal protocol when performing procedures.
• Reviews patient history and assesses physician orders, applying specific departmental protocols.
• Ensures all exams are properly coded, tracked, and archived in RIS/ISITE systems.
• Practices and maintains MR safety in the department.
• Interacts with patients and coworkers with care, dignity, and respect.
• Performs procedures for reviewing, processing and archiving.
• Communicates instructions clearly to patients and helps alleviate fears.
