Job summary

University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas seeks a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist to perform advanced MRI procedures, ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging in a collaborative care setting with radiologists, nurses, and physicists.

The ideal candidate will hold CMRT, BLS, and RT(MR) certifications, a JRCERT-accredited education, and the ability to work Thursday through Sunday, including on-call coverage, while maintaining safety, documentation, and continuous

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited JRCERT program.
• CMRT, BLS and RT(MR) certifications required within 60 days.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures as prescribed while ensuring safety and quality.
• Conduct patient interviews, assessments, and education within scope.
• Screen patients for implants and manage device clearances.
• Maintain MRI safety practices and access control.
• Administer contrast per manufacturer standards and six rights of medication administration.
• Document incidents and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Coordinate with radiologists and staff to ensure high-quality imaging.
• Travel to off-site locations as assigned.
