Description

This position is responsible for producing quality MRI images, obtaining medical history, following preset protocols, and administering contrast as indicated. The technologist performs high-quality MRI studies efficiently to maximize patient throughput. They must demonstrate proficiency in advanced MRI angiography, including bilateral run-offs, reformatting, and raw data manipulation, as well as basic MRI angiography with contrast for renal and carotid arteries. The role includes performing abdominal imaging, such as dynamic liver and hepatic scans, according to protocols. The technologist reviews patient records for accuracy and appropriateness, initiates additional views when abnormalities are recognized, and provides comprehensive explanations to patients about the procedure. Effective communication during the exam and skillful administration of intravenous contrast are essential. They process scans, complete documentation, and deliver images to the radiologist promptly.

Qualifications

• Graduate of School of Radiological Technology.
• Previous CT or MRI experience preferred.
• Registered X-ray Technologist with additional registry in MRI.
