Job summary

Boys Town National Research Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist for a part-time role at West Hospital. The position involves performing MRI scans, ensuring patient safety, and coordinating with radiologists.

A 20-hour weekly schedule includes day weekend hours, with a $5,000 hiring bonus. Qualifications include AMA‑approved radiologic technology education, ARRT MRI & Radiography within 90 days, CPR, and specific certifications for the Cognitive Neuroscience department as required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved, accredited School of Radiologic Technology or an Education in Radiologic Technology from an approved program in the U.S. Military required.
• ARRT in Radiography and MRI within 90-days of transfer or hire required.
• CPR Certification required. If in Cognitive Neuroscience, BLS within 90 days; CITI within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex MRI scans and maintains safety procedures.
• Verifies patient/site, positioning, and protocol accuracy for each scan.
• Instructs patients and uses immobilization devices for scans.
• Administers contrast media when indicated and handles reactions per protocol.
• Sends images to PACS and uses PACS software for basic tasks.
• Evaluates image quality and routes history to radiologist.
