Job summary

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital is seeking an MRI technologist to join our highly specialized MRI team, delivering diagnostic imaging care in a patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities include preparing patients and equipment, performing studies (MRI and related modalities), on-call duties, and weekend/holiday rotations; cross-training in MRI is available for RT(R) registered staff. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in advanced modalities including MRI and CT.
• On-call availability for imaging procedures and portable exams.
• Cross-trains in MRI if registered.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Performs MR studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams.
• Cross trains in MRI (if RT(R) registered).
• Maintains quality control and safety in imaging procedures.

• Sign-On Bonus $5,000 (for eligible applicants)
• 12 Hour Shifts, 3 Days Per Week
• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
• 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
• Call Rotation Required (2-3 days per month & every 12th or 13th weekend)
• Holiday Rotation Required (1 holiday every other year on average)

Overview

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience. The Barnes Jewish West County Hospital Department of MRI is a highly specialized, full-service department which strives to meet all patient and clinician needs in diagnostic imaging.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.
