Job summary

Shields Health Care Group is seeking an MRI Technologist to join a fast-paced imaging team in Massachusetts. The role requires MRI scanning experience, ARRT/CPR certifications, and strong patient interaction skills.

Expect night shifts (Thu, Fri, Sat 7pm-7am) with a $15,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits. You will follow center protocols, ensure patient safety, and assist with data entry, films, and communication with Radiologists.

Qualifications

• MRI scanning experience required.
• MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications required; ARMRIT accepted at some locations.
• Sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time.
• Assist patients with mobility difficulties.
• Some inpatient locations may require call schedule/rotation.
• Push, pull, and lift at least 25 pounds.
• Physical requirements may be accommodated.

Responsibilities

• Follow all policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety.
• Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
• Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
• Position the patient and ensure comfort during exam.
• Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
• Perform scan per center protocol and administer intravenous contrast.
• Complete forms for patient’s exam and record data in the Tech Data Entry program.
• Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate; forward data to Radiologist.

What You Will Do

• Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times. These policies, procedures and protocols can be issued by Shields or the partnering hospital group for the location you are assigned to.
• Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
• Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
• Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.
• Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
• Perform scan in accordance to center's protocol.
• Administer intravenous contrast.
• Complete all forms pertaining to patient's exam.
• Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.
• Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.
• Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.
• Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.
• Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.
• Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.
• Contrast administration

What You Need

• This opportunity requires prior MRI scanning experience.
• Necessary requirements include MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications, and fantastic interpersonal skills. ARMRIT certification accepted at some locations.
• Sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time
• Assist patients with mobility difficulties
• Some inpatient locations may require employee's to participate in a call schedule/rotation
• To push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds
• Above physical requirements can be met with or without accommodation

Additional Job Description

Pay range for this position is $40-$60/hr + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
