Shields Health is seeking an MRI Technologist in Massachusetts to support high-quality diagnostic imaging. The role requires MRI scanning experience and applicable certifications.

The position operates on a 36-hour paid-40-hour schedule with a $5,000 sign-on bonus, and involves patient safety, accurate positioning, and collaboration with radiologists. Candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced clinical environment, handle clerical tasks, and lift up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications required; ARMRIT accepted at some locations.
• Sit and utilize a computer for extended periods.
• Assist patients with mobility difficulties.
• May participate in call rotation at some inpatient locations.
• Must lift and move up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follow all policies to ensure patient safety at all times.
• Inform patients of exam details at their level of understanding.
• Position patient accurately and ensure comfort.
• Maintain contact with patient during exam and follow center protocol.
• Administer intravenous contrast as required.
• Complete all exam forms and forward data/films to Radiologist.

Job Summary

Shields Health Care Group’s MRI Technologists support the integrity of the organization with their commitment to excellence. The MRI technologist will provide a professional, caring atmosphere to all customer groups, while maintaining a fast-paced, multi-tasked oriented clinical environment.

The openings for this shift is:

• Week 1: Monday 7am-4:30pm, Friday 7am-8pm, and Saturday 8am-11pm
• Week 2: Sunday 12:30pm-11pm, Friday 7am-8pm, and Saturday 8am-10pm

This role will be a 36 hour paid 40 role. This role is eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times. These policies, procedures and protocols can be issued by Shields or the partnering hospital group for the location you are assigned to.
• Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
• Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
• Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.
• Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
• Perform scan in accordance to center’s protocol.
• Administer intravenous contrast.
• Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam. Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program. Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate. Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.
• Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.
• Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.
• Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.

What you need

• This opportunity requires prior MRI scanning experience.
• Necessary requirements include MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications, and fantastic interpersonal skills.
• ARMRIT certification accepted at some locations.
• Sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time.
• Assist patients with mobility difficulties.
• Some inpatient locations may require employee’s to participate in a call schedule/rotation.
• To push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.

Pay range for this position is $40-$60/hr + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors. It is not intended that this Job Description include all details of the work functions of this position. The incumbent will perform work of a lower or equivalent classification as required or directed, and work of higher classification for training and development purposes or as situationally warranted.
